Description

St. Andrew Legal Clinic (SALC), located in Portland, assists low-income families with legal services. With two offices in the Portland Metro Area (Multnomah and Washington County), SALC serves over 1,600 clients a year and focuses on individuals with modest financial means. Over 50% of our clients make less than $1,400 a month and over 45% of our clients are minorities. SALC is founded on the belief that no one shall be locked out of the legal system based on their ability to earn, race, spiritual beliefs, sex, gender, mental health, national origin, or political affiliation.

We are excited to be hosting our 17th annual fundraising event, on Friday, October 21, 2022. The annual Taste for Justice has become our signature event and fundraiser and with the past support from friends, donors and community sponsors, we have been able to raise funds to support Oregon’s most vulnerable families. Each year, the Taste for Justice Fundraising Gala brings together attorneys, law firms, business colleagues, family and friends to celebrate fine vintage wines, beers, spirits and exceptional cuisine and to bid on lots not found anywhere else in the region.

Donors can be assured that all donations will help SALC protect low-income families from domestic violence by providing legal advocacy for issues of adoption, child custody and support, protection orders, guardianship, parenting time, and spousal support. The clinic has been defending Oregon’s most vulnerable families since 1979 and in our 40+ years we’ve helped over 70,000 Oregonians and over 85,000 children.
