This is the 4th year Fort Hood Area Habitat for Humanity has held the Freedom Raffle to help raise awareness of how we can help people in the five Central Texas communities we serve and raise money to help us build homes, do critical repairs and install safety rails and wheelchair ramps. We are not federally funded so we rely on Grants and fundraisers such as this to help us continue the mission. During the Freedom Raffle we raffle off a car and also have several contingency prizes to gain more support. The tickets go on sale in June and the drawing is in September so during this time we are at numerous events selling tickets and acknwledging our sponsors/contributors. This can be at a small event such as at a local brewery, the airport, The Bell County State Fair along with other events. We are out there almost every weekend giving out information and promoting the raffle we have even taken one to the State Capitol in Austin. If you decide to donate you will be on our banner and our social media(Facebook,Twitter, press releases) etc. You will also be mentioned during our live feeds.
