The Scrabble Bee is Literacy Green Bay's largest annual fundraiser, which features a delicious family-style dinner, an inspiring program (including a personal story from one of our learners), a silent auction, and two rounds of Scrabble with a twist! This year, it will be held at the Swan Club in De Pere on Thursday, February 9, 2023. We expect to have over 150 attendees from Northeast Wisconsin at this year’s event, and our goal is to raise at least $55,000.

All funds raised from the Scrabble Bee are used to support our adult literacy programming. Aided by our sponsors, attendees, and the companies that have donated to previous events, we provide literacy services to over 500 adults and children each year from the Brown County area. Our mission is to help adults, children, and families acquire the reading, writing, math, English language, computer, and workforce skills they need to function effectively as workers and full community members.
