Description

Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Los Angeles (BGCMLA) is a scalable and sustainable solution to reversing the opportunity crises facing some of the most vulnerable, ethnic-diverse youth in marginalized neighborhoods of Los Angeles. Our mission is to create a safe space that empowers all Club members to Learn, Explore, Achieve, and Dream (L.E.A.D.). We fulfill our mission by offering nationally recognized, research-based programs and activities in three core areas: Academic Success, Good Character and Citizenship, and Healthy Lifestyles.  In 2023, we had 100% of Club members graduate from High School, and of those who applied for financial aid to continue on with their education, the total scholarship amount gifted was $841,346. On top of that, we continue to provide 120 locally developed programs daily to our 3,087 youth in Metro LA.

The 2023 Stronger Together Annual Gala is a fundraising event showcasing incredible speeches on youth empowerment with exclusive performances by Will Forte & Friends, and a special moment to shine a spotlight on our dedicated partners of 2023. We will be hosting a Dinner,  Live & Silent Auctions, and Cocktail hour for all our guests. By having this fundraising event, we are hoping that we raise up to $800,000 that will go directly to expanding the number of youth we reach each year, improve current educational and recreational programs, revamp our club sites/school sites for Youth's physical and emotional safety, and provide free healthy meals, school supplies, and other necessities that they would otherwise not be able to get at home due to financial insecurity - as 60% are from single-parent households.
