The Copperas Cove Education Foundation donates $45,000-$50,000 annually to teachers and students within the Copperas Cove Independent School District. At least $8,000 goes towards scholarships (including collegiate, vocational, and dual credits) and the remaining funds are provided to teachers, as a grant, to use in their classrooms for innovative projects. In order to do this, the Foundation hosts the Boots & Buckles Gala to raise funds on top of the funds they receive from dedicated donors. The gala also provides us with the opportunity to highlight the success of these projects. Although we do charge (non-sponsors) a fee to attend, the majority of the funds comes from live and silent auctions held during the evening. Being located in central Texas, there are many avid Dallas Cowboy fans. Memoriabilia would be a addition to our auction.
