La Mesa Arts Foundation is a 501(c)(3) that solely supports the arts program at La Mesa Arts Academy. La Mesa Arts Academy is a public school in the La Mesa Spring Valley School district. La Mesa Arts Academy or LMAAC, as it is fondly called, has nearly 1,100 students enrolled in grades 5-8.

In addition to the rigorous core academic program, the arts program at LMAAC includes all levels of Dance, Theatre, Visual, Digital and Fine Arts, Vocal and Choral Music, Band and Orchestra, Instrumental Music (Keyboard/Guitar), Culinary Arts and Film as Literature.

The main mission of the school is to teach students to be good people of good character and integrity and how to be leaders in their community. This is accomplished by teaching students how to be kind, caring, inclusive, and show humility.

The arts program at LMAAC costs approximately $150,000 per year to operate beyond the funds provided by the district.

On March 27, 2025, we will be hosting our 2nd annual "Evening at LMAAC" fundraiser. This is our main fundraiser, which is central to providing the funds to run our arts program here at LMAAC. We are requesting support from our community in the form of donations for our silent auction.
