The Georgia Chapter of the American Fisheries Society (Georgia AFS), an organization of professionals committed to the conservation and sustainability of our fishery resources and aquatic ecosystems. Each year at our annual conference we host a fundraising event to support aquatic restoration projects, aquatic educational outreach programs, youth fishing events, and support the development of fisheries professionals and students.

For the past 39 years, Georgia AFS has been dedicated to enhancing the sustainable use and management of our valued fishery resources. This endeavor aims to safeguard the interests of those who benefit from our aquatic natural resources. Our initiatives include:

• Promoting scientific research to guide effective fisheries management practices.
• Supporting aquatic educational outreach programs to foster a greater understanding and appreciation of our aquatic natural resources and the sport of fishing.
• Investing in aquatic habitat restoration projects to ensure the health and sustainability of our fisheries. 
• Providing training workshops and mentorship programs to promote the development of fisheries professionals.
