The Georgia Chapter of the American Fisheries Society (GA AFS) is an organization of fisheries professionals, educators, and students who are committed to the conservation and sustainability of our fishery resources and aquatic ecosystems. Our Chapter supports aquatic restoration projects, aquatic education outreach programs as well as programs that provide fishing opportunities for all age groups. Additionally, we facilitate the dissemination and discussion of the latest fisheries science research that professionals then use to manage our fisheries resources as well as improve fisheries for anglers. Each year at our annual meeting we host a raffle and silent auction to raise money to support programs that promote the conservation and sustainability of our fishery resources.
