Description

Are you ready for a day filled with golf, fun, friends, and a range of prizes, all while supporting a vital non-profit in Brantford? Crossing All Bridges Learning Centre's 20th Annual Golf 'Fore' Learning Tournament is right around the corner and we need your support! This year our goal is to surpass all of our past tournaments and raise $35,000 to support program enhancement and the purchase of new accessible equipment for our learning center.

Crossing All Bridges Learning Centre (CABLC) is a not-for-profit charity with a vision to create a welcoming and inclusive community where individuals with varying developmental abilities embrace a love of life, a love of learning, and lifelong friendships.

Our mission as an organization; "exists to create and sustain, through compassionate dedicated staff,

  • Programs to develop life skills in participants;
  • Social and welcoming environments in which meaningful relationships and friendships are developed; and,
  • Inclusive community experiences"

CABLC provides continued, learning with a focus on life skill development through our 5 core programs:

•             Digital Innovation

•             Recreation and Wellness

•             Culinary

•             Community, Culture and Me, and

•             Expressive Arts

In addition, we provide social skills, community engagement and extracurricular activities with our:

CABLC Summer Sizzle Camp

Monday Night Dance Party

CABLC Social Club

Each program is designed to incorporate different practices of learning including the use of modern technology. This is especially focused on our new Digital Innovation program and our after-hours programs.  Many of the participants have limited speech for verbal communication and have limited ability to project their voices. They also have limited strength and fine motor skills. In every program that CABLC offers, we emphasize the importance of participant independence and the development of life skills. We strive to teach them how to do things with limited support. The goal is to empower them and let them have choice, design, and input on after-hour programs like our annual play productions.
