Description

Cape Coral Friends of Wildlife will be hostingits 22nd Annual Burrowing Owl and Environmental Exp Festival on Feb. 24, 2024.  In conjunction with this we will be holding an on-line auction that runs from Jan 2, 2024 through Feb 25, 2024.  This year we raised almost $50,000 which we used to acquire more land to protect wildlife - namely the threatened burrowing owls and gopher tortoises.  We had almost 4,000 attendees at the festival.  We have other environmental groups as well as vendors and exhibitors at this fun family event.  There are three speakers as well as a childrens corner, games and a silent auction.  We offer guided tours of our buttrfly house and bus tours for professional photographers to see our wildlife as well as amateurs to see the owls and tortoises up close.  The festival takes place at Rotary Park in Cape Coral which has walking tails and a tower to view the area and wildlife.
