22nd Annual Fallen Officer's Fund Golf Tournament

In May of 1998, the San Diego District Attorney Investigator’s Association (SDDAIA) established a FALLEN OFFICERS FUND (FOF). The fund was created for the purpose of rendering financial assistance to any active San Diego or Imperial County Law Enforcement Officer in times of crisis. This fund assists local, state and federal officers or their immediate family member who is in need of financial assistance as a result of death, injury or any other event in which financial assistance would not otherwise be immediately available. Below are examples of assistance:
- Two officers were responding to a disturbance call and upon entry were fired upon by the occupant. Both officers were in critical condition and needed extended time off to recover.
- Unfortunately in the 2018 West Fire, a few officers and their families lost their homes and sadly lost everything. Funds were donated to help with immediate needs such has housing, clothing, and hygiene products.
- An officer passed away from Stage 4 cancer and is survived by his wife and 3 children under the age of 10 years old.
Our biggest fundraiser is an annual golf tournament that takes place on May 10, 2019 at Rancho Bernardo Inn Golf Resort and Spa. In 2018, FOF was able to provide $57,500 to law enforcement officers and their families in times of crisis. This was due in large part to the donations we received at our annual FOF Golf Tournament. We would like to offer you the opportunity to be a tournament sponsor and support a worthy cause.
The tournament is always preceded by a memorial service honoring fallen officers. At the post-tournament dinner, the winners are awarded their prizes, and a raffle and silent auction are held.
We would like you to consider the following sponsorship opportunities:
Raffle / Silent Auction Items: A successful raffle and silent auction are critical to any charity fundraiser. Any new or unused items such as: merchandise, gift baskets, gift cards or goods and services are appreciated. Please contact me to arrange pick up of your generous contributions.
Friend of FOF: For a $100 minimum contribution your name will be listed on our Sponsor Banner, which will be displayed at the registration area. Additionally, a letter of appreciation will be mailed to you after the event.
Tee Box or Hole Sponsor: A $250 minimum contribution includes all of the above, as well as prominent signage with your name and company logo at the tee box or hole and on the sponsorship banner.
Beverage/Host Cart Sponsor: A $500 minimum contribution includes signage on one of the host carts that drive around the golf course. Your company logo will be displayed on a sign on 2 drink holes and on the sponsorship banner at the registration area.
Logo Ball Sponsor: A $1,500 minimum contribution includes all of the above, as well as your company’s logo printed on Dixon Wind golf balls. A sleeve of golf balls with your logo will be distributed to each player in the tournament. In addition, your company will receive 2 dozen logo balls.
Giveaway Item for Golf Bag: A $1,500 minimum contribution includes your company’s logo printed on a giveaway item that is placed in the golf bags that will be distributed to each player in the tournament. In addition, your company will receive 5 of those items, as well as your company’s name on prominent signage at a tee box or hole and the sponsor banner. (Item TBD)
Golf Merchandise Sponsor: A $2,500 minimum contribution includes golf items that will be purchased and be part of our silent auction or raffle prizes. Your company logo will be displayed in the silent auction area and on the sponsorship banner.
Dinner sponsor: A $7,000 minimum contribution includes a Twosome of golf at the tournament. Centerpieces on each table at dinner with your company logo, with recognition during dinner. A hole sponsor sign and your company’s logo on the sponsor banner displayed at registration
Green Fee Sponsor: A $10,000 minimum contribution includes a Foursome of golf with dinner tickets for (4) non golfers. Your product or marketing materials in each of the golfer’s bag. Your company’s logo advertised on the GPS in each of the golf carts. Your company’s logo on the sponsorship banner displayed at registration. Recognition during the dinner.
