Description

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Island County will soon celebrate the 25th Annual Festival of Trees, our signature gala and auction, with an IN-PERSON event on December 1, 2023!
This year we will host a live, in-person auction gala dinner, offering our highly sought after, decorated, designer trees and wreaths, and unique experiences. We are so delighted to be in person, but we won’t forget about digital options; our week-long silent auction will be online, showcasing a variety of local treasures and adventures, while allowing more folks to join in on the fun! The in-person gala with the digital silent auction allows us to highlight our donors and sponsors in front of more people than ever!

Youth in our community need us, and we continue to rise to that need! In 2022, we added a new program to support the mental health of youth, connecting families to support services, and new and exciting opportunities. DINO (Dabble In New Opportunities) provides youth age 6-24 with experiences without barriers like cost, uniforms and transportation. In order to continue providing this, and our traditional, life-changing mentoring relationships your generous donations are essential. Your generosity is the only thing that allows the youth in our community to continue receiving our much-needed services. Without your support, our organization does not exist.

We are looking to secure donated items to help support our programs that ignite the power and potential of children. Please consider a donation to fund our professionally supported, one-to-one, mentoring relationships that carve a path to a brighter future for our community. We are expecting the support of over 250 business owners and influential community members!

This single event raises over half of our annual budget. When you donate, your gift(s) are auctioned to raise funds to provide children with caring, kind role models. Please help fund our professionally supported one-to-one mentoring relationships. There is no gift too Big or too Little.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Island County is a non-profit youth-service organization founded in 1999 in Oak Harbor, WA to meet the needs of youth on Whidbey Island. With over 20 years of service, BBBSIC creates and supports one to one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and potential of youth, and has helped defend the potential of over a thousand at-risk youth. We provide all services free of charge, and to continue our mission we need the help and support of businesses like yours. On average, the cost to support 1-year of relationship-building, impactful mentoring, and professional oversight of a Big and Little is $1,200. Most of our children are from low-income, single, or grand-parent homes. They may have challenges, but they do not lack hope or potential. We change lives, and we could not do it without you.

Your generous donation(s) to Festival of Trees allow our local youth to achieve their full potential. We greatly appreciate your generous support for our children and our future.
