Description

The Easter Basket Extravaganza is one of our biggest fundraisers for Project Hunger. Over 200 baskets of various themes (for all ages) at varied values are on display. Bidding takes place via an online auction site and donated baskets are sold to the highest bidder. The money raised helps support our mission to feed the hungry in Central Nebraska. Our agency provides food to area food pantries, provides a Sunday (and holiday) evening meal in Grand Island, and sends home over 200 food bags each week with area school students. We also provide Thanksgiving boxes to those in need in our area.


On-site attendance is estimated at approximately 200, though bidders can buy our items through an online auction site as well, which has greatly increased the reach of our event to bidders within Nebraska and even out of state.
