Taste of Tulsa is a 36-year old tradition benefiting the life-changing work of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oklahoma.  

Oklahoma has the highest rate of incarceration leaving 1 in 7 children with a parent in prision at some point in their childhood.  This trauma can disrupt brain development causing social, emotional and cognitive problems throughout an individual's life.  

For more than a century, our organization has been helping change kids' perspectives and giving them the opportunity to reach their potential.  Our unique brand of one-to-one mentoring has a BIG impact by helping children achieve success in school, avoid risky behaviors such as getting into fights, trying drugs and alcohol and improves their self-confidence.  Our caring role models help to nurture children, strenghten communities and expand the world in new ways.
