My name is Misty Jeffcoat, as a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 597 I am working on behalf of the American Legion Post 597. Our Post is a 501(c)3 organization that works to support Veterans, their families, and the community. We are looking for community partners like you to help us continue this mission.         

Post 597 in Downtown Carrollton, TX is a place where the American Legion Post 597, American Legion Auxiliary Unit 597, Sons of the American Legion Squadron 597, and American Legion Riders 597 work on projects benefiting other Veterans and the overall community.

The members of Post 597 will be hosting our 3rd Annual Chili Cook Off and Silent Auction on September 16, 2023. Proceeds from the Silent Auction will be used to help the 597 Legion Family continue to support various Veteran and Community programs and projects including, but not limited to, Boys and Girls State, Patriot Paws, K9 Warriors, Sweats for Vets, Christmas for Kids (gifts for local children in need), Operation Purple Camp, Cancer Research, Dallas Life Homeless Shelter, Thanksgiving Soup Kitchen, Valor Ranch and other organizations that are in place to aid Veterans, their families and the community. In addition to these programs, 10% of the Silent Auction proceeds will be donated to a charity chosen by the 1st Place Winner of the Chili Competition. To make this event a true success, we are asking for your assistance.

Would you be willing to give an item, package, or service for our silent auction? To show our appreciation for your support, we will be recognizing all supporters on social media leading up to the event, and through announcements and printed materials at the event. There will be a photo opportunity, during the Flag Raising Ceremony, for supporters that attend the event. Other recognition may be available upon request. Donations need to be received no later than September 8, 2023.
