For more than 50 years, Plano Child Development Center (Plano) a 501 (c)3 not-for-profit corporation, has been meeting the needs of patients with visually related learning difficulties across the Chicago metropolitan area. Plano has been true to its mission of identifying, evaluating and treating educationally and financially disadvantaged children who suffer from having an under-developed and/or inefficient vision information processing system.  As a result of poor vision skills, this diagnosis often results in decreased academic performance, lack of self-esteem, and poor eye hand communication. Thus, our purpose is to provide comprehensive vision care services through the identification, evaluation and treatment of vision-related problems in our patients, ultimately enhancing their ability to achieve success both in and out of the classroom. 

To help bridge the ever-widening gap between the costs of providing these services and the resources obtained through patient fees and small grants, Plano annually hosts a benefit fundraiser. Your donation will be used as part of our silent auction. Our goal is to raise $10,000.00 from our silent auction this year. Your generosity will help offset the rising costs of providing vision therapy and other vision-care services. Your company name will be listed in our event program as well as our winter newsletter that is distributed to over 1000 people who reside in the Chicagoland area as a silent auction donor.
