Description

Special Olympics continues to enhance the lives of persons with intellectual disabilities through sport. We are a local chapter of a nonprofit organization which in Barrie, is operated totally by volunteers. Our chapter provides training, competition and social interaction for over 250 athletes in 14 different sports. In order to provide services to our athletes, Special Olympics Barrie depends on the generous support of individual donors and our friends in the business community. This year our silent auction will take place at Dustin Agar’s Slow Pitch Tournament in support of Special Olympics. A fantastic event where our Athletes are invited to join softball teams in a one day friendly tournament all the while raising funds for Special Olympics. This year’s fundraiser is in aid of our athletes returning to sport programs after the COVID shutdown.  Uniforms and transportation to tournaments will take priority.  Would you be willing to become a sponsor or donate either a gift certificate or merchandise from your business? Please find enclosed a copy of our flyer with information on this exciting opportunity. It is a win/win situation when our Special Olympics Athletes benefit from your donation and you receive the goodwill which comes as a result of your generosity. We will happily include acknowledgement of your personal or corporation’s donation on our Special Olympics Barrie website and in the softball tournament signage and program. Thank you in advance for your support of our athletes and organization.
