OAR of Richmond, Inc. was established in 1971 as an agency to provide services to those impacted by incarceration. OAR is the leading reentry service provider in the region and served over 4,600 returning citizens last year. OAR’s goal is to help our participants to set goals and reach them all while being productive members of society and breaking the cycle of incarceration. OAR provides our participants with reentry planning before they are released, support groups, case management, transportation assistance, clothing, food, access to health and mental health appointments, job skills development, resume development, computer classes, job application assistance, job retention incentives, and more.

OAR of Richmond is holding our 50th Anniversary Celebration this year on Thursday, May 12 at Main Street Station at 6:00 p.m. The donation would be needed by May 1, 2022.

This Celebration is planned by the OAR Board of Directors and staff to raise much needed funds for our programs. The event includes BBQ, Cider from Blue Bee, live music by Pirahna Rama, short program and a great Silent Auction. The event is attended by 150 individuals and tickets are $40 each.
