As the community leader in reentry services, OAR of Richmond provides evidence-based and person-centered approaches to empower those impacted by incarceration to find individual success.
OAR of Richmond, Inc. was established in 1971 as an agency to provide services to those impacted by incarceration. OAR is the leading reentry service provider in the region and served over 4,600 returning citizens last year. OAR’s goal is to help our participants to set goals and reach them all while being productive members of society and breaking the cycle of incarceration. OAR provides our participants with reentry planning before they are released, support groups, case management, transportation assistance, clothing, food, access to health and mental health appointments, job skills development, resume development, computer classes, job application assistance, job retention incentives, and more.
