Description

The 8th Annual Partners for Justice Fundraiser Benefitting Community Violence Solutions will be held at The Garden in Walnut Creek (an event venue that provides food and drinks).  Supporters of CVS from around the Bay Area will come partake in the fundraiser to support CVS.  Historically we have had 120-150 attendees, and we expect the same turnout for this year's event.  Food and drinks are provided.  A lively MC hosts the event from front stage throughout and recognizes all of the donors who have contributed to the cause.  All of the gift certificates and gift cards received are bundled together and featured on silent auction tables where attendees bid on the packages.  The silent auction packages are polular and seen by nearly every attendee.  The donors are recognized in writing at each table.  An MC conducts a live auction featuring the more valuable donations (for example, stays in vacation homes, travel packages) The live auction will also feature a paddle raise for "Fund a Need" donations.

This is a lively event where the community comes together to support CVS, a non-profit that focuses on providing support and services to victims of sexual abuse and family violence.  CVS runs the Children's Interview Center, where children alledgedly victimized by sexual abuse have a safe and comfortable setting to tell their story with a trained interviewer.  CVS also runs a 24-hour rape hotline that provides support and assistance to victims, as well as an Anti-Human Trafficking Team and Sexual Assault Response Team that respond in person to victims of sexual assault in their time of need.  This is CVS' main annual fundraiser, and its success relies upon community supporters such as businesses that operate in the area.  We hope that you will contribute to this amazing organization's success.
