Description

As a residence and community resource for adults with advanced disabilities due to progressive neurological and degenerative disorders, The Boston Home's mission is to provide exceptional clinical care, compassion, access and innovative programs to make a meaningful difference in the lives of this historically underserved population. All 96 of The Boston Home's residents require wheelchairs for ambulation, as tremors, spasticity and paralysis are significant effects of disease progression. Recognized by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society as an exemplary care provider and designated as a “Center for the Promotion of Excellence in Long-term Care,” The Boston Home is committed to making life rich and full of meaningful options through programmatic offerings and services including its B. Fit! day program, Seating Clinic, state-of-the-art Wheelchair Enhancement Center, Cyber Cafe, Adaptive Watercolor Program, and more.

The Boston Home is the only organization of its kind in New England—and one of only a few in the nation—that meets the needs of:
1) Adults who have disabilities due to advanced neurological disorders and require full-time residential care, programmatic support and mobility services;
2) Adults who have disabilities due to neurological and degenerative disorders who live independently and are in need of programmatic support and mobility services.
