Description
The Angel Safari 5K and Kid's Fun Run is held on October 10th, 2015 at the Louisville Zoo in Kentucky. Participants enjoy a morning run through the beautiful grounds of the Louisville Zoo among giraffes, monkeys, elephants and more...all in support of the little angels at our unique school. We have nearly 400 participants in this event, from children in strollers to senior adults!
The children will raise funds throughout the school year to participate in the Fun Run. We give the children small prizes as they hit certain levels of fundraising, and preparing for the fitness of the run. We anticipate approximately 150 child participants. The Fun Run participants will get a goodie bag after the event and a finisher medal.
Our unique 5K course travels three times through the twists and turns of the Zoo, allowing the runner to enjoy a brisk autumn 5K run in the beautiful surroundings.
Participates stay after the run to enjoy some free coffee, pastries, fruit, pizza and lots more.
Participants can stay on the Zoo grounds to enjoy the exhibits, all for no extra charge!
There are several levels of giving beginning at $250. In-kind and monetary donors can receive their name on t-shirts (logos for $500 or more), hyperlinks from our website to yours, tickets to the event and more.
The estimated reach is impossible to determine as the race shirts are worn for a long time to come, and the sponsor signage is on display at school events.
We need items as prizes for the event, as well as items for the goodie bags and fundraising incentive mystery bag prizes.
We have not yet begun the public push for the event, so the event website has 2014 details currently.
