Description

Every year we put on a week long celebration during the 4th of July for the community and the surrounding communities.  This consists of Live Entertainment, Carnival Rides, Games, Food/Drink, Vendors, Hospitality Tent, Information Booth, A Grand Parade, and we end the celebration with a magnificent Fireworks Display.  Each year during our 4th of July Celebration we have a fundraising booth to make money to pay for all the things we supply for the community, via our organization, free of charge.  We do not charge the public admission for this week-long event each year, so we reach out to businesses to request their support to help us with our fundraising efforts. This could be anything from a monetary sponsorship donation, to a gift card or something we can give away as a prize. Our fundraising booth does different things like games, basket raffles, Chinese (silent) auctions, or whatever we get donations for.  We have one game where our children look forward to playing because we try to make it so that every child walks away a winner.

Jersey Shore Town Meeting, Inc's objective is to help advance the educational, civic and social welfare of our community and surround areas.  We hold different events for the community free of charge and provide funds to several different grants/scholarships *K-6* (including music, arts as well as the empowerment of STEM in young girls) and children’s groups in the area.  This year we are also providing Mr. Yuk supplies to the JSASD CTE Child Care course as well as attended the National Night Out program to teach preschoolers about the hazards of poisonous household products.  As well as many other different things like handing out hot dogs & hot chocolate during our Christmas Block party in recognition that it might be the only warm meal they might get.  We do not serve just one type.... while we will focus on those in low income, volunteers, in the military or considered under-served, we recognize that everyone at a moments notice might have a need pop up and are willing to help if we are capable to.  No one is ever turned away.... everything we do is always done for our community free of charge and our organization is built up of volunteers who do not get paid a dime for their services.

We are 100% volunteer and have been trying to get the IRS to change our 501(c)4 status to a 501(c)3 one but until they do we struggle with getting people to donate to us.  Considering all of the wonderful work we do for our town and surrounding communities we hope that more might consider giving to us.  Thank you!
