The National Association of Junior Auxiliaries, Inc. (NAJA) was founded over 78 years ago, on the principles of helping children and making a difference in their lives. NAJA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide support, resources and training for our members in order to optimize community service by NAJA Chapters. Each Chapter determines its own projects based on the needs of its community. Chapters conduct a community survey to determine needs & designs projects to fill those needs. There are 99 NAJA Chapters and over 15,000 members serving their communities in 8 states (Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri & Tennessee). Last year, our Chapters served over 200,000 children and families in their communities.
Each year NAJA hosts an Annual Education Conference to train and motivate our volunteers. The conference provides workshops, motivational speakers and networking opportunities for our members. During the conference, we host a raffle to raise funds to award grants to our Chapters to help with their service projects as well as to pay for operational expenses.
