Even though we have saved over 4,600 dogs over the last 21 years, there is no end in sight of dogs that need our help. If you are familiar with our work, you already know that we are one of the few rescues in the area who helps elderly dogs and dogs with special needs or medical issues. Oftentimes, we are their only hope. It is only with your generosity and support that are we able to continue our mission of assisting the many dogs that need our help.
Virginia German Shepherd Rescue is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that is run entirely by volunteers. One hundred percent of our funding comes from donations and fundraising events like this annual Golf Tournament. We depend on this event to help us pay for medical expenses for the dogs such as spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, medical exams, heartworm testing and treatment, and any other medical treatments that may be required.
By joining us at the tournament, you will have the opportunity to meet some of the wonderful dogs we have saved with your help. Could there be any better feeling than playing a round of golf at the beautiful Blue Ridge Shadows, where you will receive a special greeting and a personal “Thank You” from the fabulous dogs who have been saved by VGSR? Knowing that you have played a part in helping save these dogs will make you feel warm all over – we guarantee it!
Sponsors with signs on the course promote their businesses while giving back to the community they serve, which provides an advantage in marketing to a wide customer base. Individual sponsors can pay tribute to special friends and family (canines included) who have brought love and joy to their lives.
