Dear Friends,
We are writing on behalf of The Brownstone School to ask for your support of our Annual Spring
Benefit, which will be held this year on April 22, 2023.
Founded in 1963, The Brownstone School is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to
providing high-quality early childhood education on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Since its founding,
The Brownstone School has welcomed thousands of children into our building. The Brownstone
School has grown and flourished, welcoming young children from diverse cultural and economic
backgrounds and providing for their social, emotional, physical and intellectual well-being in a warm
and nurturing environment.
Next year, The Brownstone School will be celebrating its 60 th Anniversary. Brownstone families and
friends will be holding its annual benefit to raise funds to maintain the building and support our
financial assistance program, as well as other programs in the school. Our school makes every effort to
provide financial assistance awards to children whose families may not otherwise have the economic
means to send their children to Brownstone. The benefit includes a silent auction and a live auction,
during which attendees bid on donated items.
We expect over 200 guests to attend the event on April 22, 2023. We would like to ask you to
consider contributing to our auction this year. If you could possibly donate an item, product or service,
please fill out the attached form. Please send a copy of the form with your donation by April 1, 2023 to
springbenefit@brownstoneschool.org. Please note that because The Brownstone School is a 501(c)(3)
non-profit organization, your donation is tax deductible to the extent allowable by law. Our Federal
Tax ID number is 13-2748002.
