Founded in 1963, The Brownstone School is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to
providing high-quality early childhood education on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Since its founding,
The Brownstone School has welcomed thousands of children into our building. The Brownstone School has grown and flourished, welcoming young children from diverse cultural and economic
backgrounds and providing for their social, emotional, physical, and intellectual well-being in a warm
and nurturing environment.

Next year, The Brownstone School will be celebrating its 60th Anniversary. Brownstone families and
friends will be holding its annual benefit to raise funds to maintain the building and support our
financial assistance program, as well as other programs in the school. Our school makes every effort to
provide financial assistance awards to children whose families may not otherwise have the economic
means to send their children to Brownstone. The benefit includes a silent auction and a live auction,
during which attendees bid on donated items.
