The mission and purpose of Silk City Pearls, Inc. is to promote and encourage high scholastic standards for young women in the Passaic County area; to provide scholarship opportunities to young women in the Passaic County area; to promote unity within the community in matters of educational, cultural, and civic life and the general welfare of the community; and to consistently advocate for social change and provide service to all mankind.

Our Annual Tricky Tray is our biggest fundraiser of the year.  At this fundraising event, typically attended by about 200 community members, we raffle off gift baskets, gift cards, merchandise, and services generously donated by businesses like yours.

We are estimating that with our publicity and posting, your donation will receive exposure to approximately 5,000 people through our organization, guests and network of surrounding chapters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

The event proceeds will help pay for programming and scholarships in support of the Passaic County, NJ community.
