JCAN is a not for profit charitable organization serving imporverished communities such as Blacks and other underserved population. A Walkathon will be held May 27, 2024 to raise funds. Seniors from our weekly culturally relevant Social Connect program for seniors, family members and people from GTA are invited to attend. The walk will be approximately 20 minutes, followed by light refreshments, games, movement to music and a chance for all to socially connect. Tax receipts are issued for all donation $20 and over. 

Our fundraising goals are to:

a. Support cultually relevant programs and resources for Blacks and other underserved populations

b. Purchase community space to deliver specialized day programs for seniors suffering from dementia

c. Own and operate a seniors' home for Blacks and other underserved populations
