Digital Girl, Inc. is organizing a Back to School Community Event in partnership with Bed-Stuy BID, Restoration, National Grid, Atlantic Records, Council Member Cornegy, and Assembly Member Stefani Zinerman on Sunday, August 29th from 3:00 PM-9:30 PM.

The event will be our 5th annual Voices of Brooklyn! This event is a vocal competition that serves as a fundraiser for DGI and an opportunity for other youth-based organizations to do community outreach. This event is offered for free to the public and attracts an attendance of 500+. All proceeds will go towards the development of the Digital Girl, Inc. Technology Center which we will be opening within the Major Owens Health and Wellness Community Center (MOHWCC), formerly known as the Bedford Union Armory this September!

There are two components to the event; the first is a Back to School Community fair & pre-show where other community based organizations and companies are invited to table and showcase their talents and services. We will be giving away back packs and other school supplies. There will be music, face painting, performances and other activities.
