Digital Girl, Incorporated (DGI) was founded in 2014 with a mission of empowering inner-city youth, especially young girls to pursue careers and studies in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). We are motivated by the United States’ overall lag in producing an adequate number of STEM professionals and the underrepresentation of women and people of color.
Through the early application, hands-on training, mentorship, tutoring, and social events Digital Girl, Inc. will boost confidence, raise self-esteem, and STEM career awareness within less fortunate areas. It is our goal to create professionals who can be positive contributors to society.
