The YMCA Before and After School Program, abbreviated as BASP, ensures safe, secure, and consistent childcare for kids grades K-12 in the mornings before school commences and in the afternoon after the school bus drops them off. BASP offers support when a parent needs to start work early and leave late because their schedule is demanding, so a child does not have to be alone in the mornings, and so kids have a safe place to be as they wait to go home. We fully believe that this service needs to be accessible to all families, which is why we are hosting a FUNDRAISER.

In support of the BASP Artist In-Training Showcase, hosted at the RMSC on Saturday, May 11, we are requesting an in-kind donation of a product or service. Proceeds from the event will 100% benefit the YMCA Annual Campaign and support the very important before and after school programming that we offer to thousands of local children and their families.

Along with gifts made by the community, hundreds of kids from over 20 school districts across our region, all within our own Before and After School Program, have submitted custom pieces of art to raffle off in benefit of a cause that is so important to them. Moreover, with the funds made available by this event, more parents will receive Experience Scholarships and ensure that their children have a safe place to go before and after school.

Donated items will be highlighted in a raffle that is open to attendees on the day of the event. You are encouraged to create a basket to showcase your product and promote the services that your business provides. By participating, your gift makes it possible for the YMCA of Greater Rochester to expand vital childcare services which impact the lives of so many local families.
