Description

On Saturday, March 19th, 2023 the Hawthorne Elementary School foundation will kick off our annual Bids for Kids Auction. The auction will be available online for one week, culminating in an in person event on the evening of March 26th. Hawthorne is a Title I school (a significant percentage of the students are living at or near the poverty level) and is DeKalb County’s only inclusion elementary school (serving students across the county of all abilities side-by-side in each classroom).

The Bids for Kids Auction is our largest fundraiser of the spring. The funds raised will be used for the following:
● STEM Supplies for the School
● Classroom Supplies for Teachers
● Professional Development
● Teaching Garden and caring for the Chickens
