Description

On March 4th CASA of McHenry County will host the Big City Bash. Over 350 people are expected to attend the Nashville-themed event. The ballroom at Avante Banquets will be transformed into Nashville's Music Row and the Country Music Hall of Fame. Guests will enjoy music by up and coming star McKenzie O'Brien and dine on Nashville inspired cuisine. The event will feature a silent auction, live auction, paddle raise and fundraising games.

Proceeds for the event will help CASA of McHenry County ensure that every child has a CASA Advocate. New legistlation, which goes into effect on January 1, 2022, will increase the number of foster children that we serve from 55% to 100%. CASA Advocates not only provide information to the judge so that he can make the best informed decisions but they SHOW UP for the child. Advocate Daphne was the only consistent adult in 7 year old Kari's life when she moved 7 times in 3 years. Cara visited Michelle at the behavioral hospital on Christmas Eve so that she would know she wasn't alone. Mona became such an important part of the lives of the children she advocated for that their father asked her to remain their lives after they returned home.
