Black Tie Dinner is the largest fundraising dinner of the LGBTQ community in the nation.  This year our agency will serve over 3,000 North Texas youth by matching them with positive adult volunteer mentors through our carefully monitored program.  Funds raised from Black Tie Dinner on November 3, 2018 will help us expand our services to LGBTQ youth, promote engagement of understanding volunteers, and continue to develop our staff and volunteers' cultural competencies. 

LGBTQ youth continue to face significant challenges due to bullying, discrimination and stigma.  One our of every e LGBTQ youth surveyed reported not having a caring adult they could talk to.  In a 2016 survey, 34% of lesbian, gay and bi-sexual teens reported having been bullied in school and more than 30% reported having attempted suicide within the previous year.
