Colorectal cancer is on the increase in those under 50 years old.  Teens, twenty, thirty-year-old people are being diagnosed with this cancer. Race for Hope, a charitable Colorectal Cancer Awareness Organization is dedicated to raising awareness about CRC in the younger population.  The passion for this dedication is personal.  The founder’s 23-year-old son passed away battling this cancer.  One of our board members’ 25-year-old son passed away battling this cancer. There are too many young sons, daughters, wives, husbands, mothers, fathers being diagnosed and this needs to END.  We are raising research dollars for young onset CRC. Educating the public and the medical community that you are NEVER too young for colorectal cancer.   Working to end colorectal cancer so more families do not suffer. In 2022 funds were given to OhioHealth, Cleveland Clinic, Colorectal Cancer Alliance, Mt Carmel, Cancer Support community for education, research, and support of young onset colorectal cancer. 

 March is colorectal cancer awareness month. On Friday, March 31, 2023 we will gather at The Fives Columbus event space in Columbus, Ohio for Blue For The Night. The Leveque Tower, Nationwide, and the AEP building will all be BLUE for the night.  A night to remember lives lost to this cancer. A night to bring hope to those in treatment for this cancer. A night to take action against colorectal cancer.
