Description
Boots and Badges is the signature of event of Gilroy Police Foundation. All funds raised go towards funding the unmet needs of the Gilroy Police Department. We fund equipment, training, and community policing initiatives of GPD which are not possible within the city budget.
Since 2015 some of the items we have funded GPD include: three K9s, K9 bulletproof vests, custom saddles for the mounted unit replacing 25+ year old saddles, medical packs for each patrol car, two drones, CSI cameras, three wraps for school resource vehicles, sponsorship for National Night Out, sponsorship for Coffee with a Cop, Christmas with a Cop for low-income children and scholarships for low-income high achieving students.
