Description

The Boots and Bowties Bash is the premier fundraising event for The Richardson ISD Foundation. The event will host 300 community leaders supporting the students and teachers in the Richardson Independent School District. At the Bash, we will announce the 2021-2022 Richardson ISD Elementary and Secondary Teachers of the Year. Attendees will enjoy dinner, dancing with entertainment by Graceland Ninjaz, bidding on live and silent auction items, and more. The fundraising goal for the 2022 Boots and Bowties Bash is to net $100,000 or more.

Proceeds from the event help support the Foundation’s mission to advance impactful opportunities to benefit all within the Richardson Independent School District. The Foundation links community resources of time, money, and expertise with the diverse needs of our students to enhance and compliment the mission of the district. Because of generous donors, we fund student programs, projects and initiatives that do not receive sufficient tax-based funding. The Foundation also promotes and recognizes student academic excellence and innovative instruction by teachers. Last year, we provided $135,000 in scholarships to help graduating seniors pursue higher education opportunities and an additional $50,000 in technology, classroom, and professional development grants for RISD staff.
