You Turn Ministries and DOXA Wells will be having our inaugural Bustin’ Clays for Broken Wells Tournament on Friday November 12, 2021 at Iron Mountain Sporting Clays off exit 407 in Kodak TN.  Iron Mountain is a new top notch facility unlike any in the area that opens in the fall!  The owners of the facility have been very active in sporting clays and have done many LARGE scale tournaments.  This will be the first event at the new facility and we are grateful that they have allowed us this honor.  The facility features 2 14 station sporting clays courses, super sporting and 5-stand.  The facilities also include a clubhouse, corporate meeting room, caterer’s kitchen and seating for 250 people!  We hope that you will consider supporting this event as a sponsor and participant.  This is also a great time to come and explore the smokies, take advantage of team building, gathering with friends or a weekend getaway for the family and enjoy some special events scheduled throughout the entire weekend! You Turn Ministries and DOXA Wells, “Partnering for Good”, has been able to provide water to those in need in Malawi Africa.  You Turn Ministries’ mission is to Reach the Lost People in the Last Places.  Over 3.8 million lives have been impacted through You Turn Ministries and many of those started with a single drop of water!  You Turn helps meet the needs of Malawians and is also engaged in building lasting relationships with results that will impact generations to come. 

Lighthouses - You Turn currently has 2 lighthouses in Malawi.  These are locations that care for and love orphans.  In Malawi the amount of orphans is staggering and they often have no or little access to water, food and education.  You Turn Ministries stands to bridge the gap by making sure that they are able to go to school to receive an education and also be provided with at least 1 meal a day and access to clean water.  You Turn Ministries works in partnership with the villages so that these orphans are able to remain in their communities and not suffer further segregation and alienation.  

Water Projects -  DOXA Wells is able to drill new wells where one is not present in addition to providing repairs.  Over 14K broken wells have been identified in Malawi.  This means that millions of people are having to walk to a mud puddle and carry disease ridden water back to their village to use for drinking, cooking and sanitation.  The average walk is 3.7 miles and the weight of a single gallon of water is 8 lbs.  DOXA Wells has developed a replacement part for the Afridev well pump that will last years instead of months and is over 40% more efficient.  Additionally, we are able to install SmartPump Monitors to be able to actively track pump hours and how many liters have been drawn per day.  This means that should there ever be an issue a repair team will be dispatched to ensure that water will always flow.  

Food Insecurities, Agriculture and Education - With abundant access to water, girls are now able to return to school in order to further their education and restore hope and a vision of their community and future.  A rising tide raises all ships!  Together as a community they are able to learn about irrigation, farming, livestock potential and even raising fish ponds!  Having the ability to grow and raise a food source means that there is less malnutrition, disease and despair.  You Turn Ministries also has a coffee farm that will help generate income and sustain the efforts of the community.
