As a member of this community, we know how many youth organizations our
families have to choose from. I would like to introduce you to Creative Kids
Playhouse; a 501(c)3 children’s theatre company serving our community
youth, ages 3-18. What makes Creative Kids Playhouse Children’s Theatre of
Orange County stand out is our commitment to children’s development. Our
goal is for all children to experience the joys of theatre, while also teaching
valuable life skills including communication, creative problem solving,
teamwork and personal accountability.

We are fortunate to have kept our doors open throughout the COVID
pandemic, and have re-grown our program to reach children at near the level
we were pre-pandemic. During our 2019-2020 season, we were able to provide
$9,300 in scholarships, and we would like to be able to offer that same
opportunity in our 2023 season.

This is why we turn to you, our community partners, for your support of our 8th
annual C.A.T.E. Awards (Children Achieving Theatre Excellence) this coming
February 5th, 2023. This red carpet event is very important to our organization,
helping us to achieve our mission of expanding educational youth theatre for
all in Orange County. Not only is the C.A.T.E. awards ceremony the moment
where we celebrate the outstanding contributions of local youth from Creative
Kids Playhouse musicals and plays performed in 2022, this is our nonprofit’s
major fundraiser of the year.

Guests of CATE have the opportunity to participate in a raffle of generously
donated items and experience a show consisting of a compilation of songs
from the different productions performed with confidence by the actors that
participated in the full production during the season. The funds raised at this
event support our stage shows, school productions, summer camps, classes
and hopefully, scholarships. We would love your support as we continue to
deliver our mission statement to every actor that participates: every child
deserves a moment in the spotlight!
