Description

The CA Frost Environmental Science Academy PTA is a recognized 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We are raising funds for our school, which is part of the Title I Grand Rapids Public School System in Michigan. CA Frost hosts a Great Start Readiness preschool program in addition to Kindergarten through 5th grade and has over 500 enrolled students. We are a proud Science Academy theme school focusing on environmental studies. Students come from every geographical region of our district. We are a public school that reflects the vast diversity of our city and community.

Our annual Nature Night is being held in November 2024 (date not yet announced). This is one of our favorite community events filled with games, activities, chili cookoff, prizes and fun! We expect at least 400 people will attend, including students, parents, and grandparents, as well as staff and their families. This event is held on our school property. One benefit of Frost is that our property is attached to Blandford Nature Center so winter hikes are also open for families.  All proceeds from our silent auction will go directly towards supporting our scholars to ensure ALL students are able to participate in school events, like off-campus camping trips. No child should be left out because of a financial situation.

As an environmental school, all of our students participate in hikes at least weekly, regardless of weather. We provide enriching nature experiences like tending to our community vegetable garden, maple tree tapping, fishing trips, and off-campus overnight camping. We are a longstanding Evergreen-designated Green School, certified by the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy.

CA Frost PTA would be extremely grateful if chosen to receive a donation of any size. All donors will be recognized on our website, in our monthly newsletter, as well as on social media posts to gain excitement! Funds raised directly support our students and families through our PTA. We kindly thank you for considering a donation to our family focused Nature Night event!
