Gala/Party for Cancer Assistance Program District of Hamilton & DistrictNov 09, 2023 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM
The Cancer Assistance Program (CAP) is a community-based, not-for-profit organization led by a team of staff and volunteers, offering FREE services to ease the physical, emotional, and economic impact for all those in our community affected by cancer.
Services provided include:
· transportation to and from cancer-related medical appointments
· access to parking for appointments taking place at the Juravinski Cancer Centre
· home health equipment loans
· personal care and comfort items
· practical education through our Cancer Assist podcast.
CAP has been supporting cancer patients and their families in the Greater Hamilton area for over 29 years with practical and essential services that help cancer patients live at home while receiving treatment.
The Cancer Assistance Program does not receive sustainable government funding and relies greatly on the generous support of the community and proceeds from events held throughout the year.
To raise the funds necessary to deliver our FREE services, CAP is hosting their 29th Annual Gala on Thursday, November 9 at the Art Gallery of Hamilton.
Gallery of Champions: An evening to honour donors, volunteers and caregivers who champion FREE services for cancer clients in our community.
Generous donors, like you, make it possible for CAP to continue providing its free vital services to ensure ALL cancer patients and their families in our community have access to these supports.
