As volunteers and Board members, we are reaching out to request donation of an item, gift certificate, or funding for the RMHC Caribbean Nights Gala & Auction, the most significant annual fundraiser benefiting the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeast Kansas, a 501(c)3 organization (FEIN #48-1022967). Your tax-deductible donation will support family stays at the Ronald McDonald House in Topeka, which offers guest families –
•Proximity to their hospitalized children

•A comfortable place to sleep

•Home-cooked meals and a fully equipped double kitchen

•Gathering areas for families to relax

•Laundry facilities and WIFI access

•Ongoing support from staff, volunteers, and other families.

The 2024 gala will be held on Saturday, August 24 at Townsite Topeka with an anticipated attendance of 350+. It is sure to be a fabulous night of fun and fundraising to continue our efforts to keep families close to their hospitalized children and the lifesaving medical care they need.

Topeka’s Ronald McDonald House is handicap accessible and offers eight sleeping rooms with private bathrooms, a large dining room, double kitchen, living and family rooms, laundry facilities, playground, and off-street parking. Last year, 100 families stayed a total of 2,604 nights at our House, with an average stay of 16.5 nights.

While our costs are $75/night, families are only asked to consider donating $25/night. Less than 25 percent of our families are financially able to do so, which leaves a large deficit to fill through donations, grants, and fundraising events. Your support will help anchor the Ronald McDonald House in our community so we may continue to support families, allowing them to focus on what is most important – the health of their children.
