Catskill Mountain Shakespeare Fundraiser/Silent Auction
Gala/Party for Catskill Mountain ShakespeareJul 09, 2022 from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Catskill Mountain Shakespeare (www.catskillmountainshakespeare. com), is a 501(c)(3) non-profit theater company committed to bringing world class outdoor theater to the Catskill region.
Inspired by the majesty of the mountains and its forest preserve, Catskill Mountain Shakespeare aspires to create a theatrical experience for the our region while fostering diversity, inclusion and equity for all artists, staff and audience members. In a fairly rural and (artistically) underserved part of the state, we believe outdoor summer theatre is an accessible way for the local community of the Catskills and visitors to enjoy live art together.
We are currently fundraising for CMS’ upcoming second summer season for our Main Stage Production of "A Midsummer Night’s Dream" outdoors at the Emerson Resort and Spa on Rt 28 in Mt. Tremper, NY. Performances run from July 16th-31st under our tent. We are proud to offer a Low Cost/No Cost Ticket Initiative for all performances to anyone who asks.
We will be hosting a fundraiser/silent auction on July 9 at the Emerson to raise much needed funds for our season. We are currently looking for businesses who can contribute gift certificates for our silent auction, purchase advertising space in our playbil, and make direct tax deductible donations to our organization. In return, we can offer you prominent advertising of your business on all fundraising materials, printed acknowledgement in our playbill, and your logo on all branded posters at our venue.
In terms of reach: we will have 12 performances, a capacity of 1200 in-person patrons, 6000 social media engagements, prominent advertising at the Emerson (one of the busiest resorts in the region) and a billboard on Rt 28 advertising our production. Our audiences from last year’s production were a wonderful mix of the local community, weekenders and visiting downstaters. We aspire to become a cultural destination for the entire Catskill region (similar to Hudson Valley Shakespeare).
Thank you for your patronage!
