The Celebrate Play Gala raises funds to support programs at the museum, dozens of offsite community and school-based events, and ICM for Everyone which provides free museum access to hundreds of economically vulnerable families each year. 

The mission of The Iowa Children's Museum is to inspire every child to imagine, create, discover and explore through the Power of Play! Each exhibit provides hands-on opportunities for children to learn about the world around them. Our colorful spaces are not only fun, they’re backed by overwhelming research that says playing is essential to a child’s development! Every time a child visits The ICM, they’re learning through the Power of Play.
