The mission of The Iowa Children's Museum is to inspire every child to imagine, create, discover, and explore through the Power of Play. We provide hands-on opportunities for children to learn through exhibits and programs organized around five key learning initiatives: School Readiness, Healthy Kids, STEM, Arts and Culture, and Financial Literacy. We envision an inclusive, collaborative community where children are valued, their right to play is championed, and their future is nurtured. The Iowa Children's Museum will hold the Celebrate Play Silver Spectacular in honor of our 25th year of operation in Coralville on March 1, 2024. Our gala raises a significant portion of the funds that support museum programs, community-based events, and ICM for Everyone, which provides more than 10,000 free admissions each year to those with financial need. We work tirelessly to make our educational opportunities available to everyone, regardless of their ability to pay, because every child deserves to play-to-learn.
