Chakota TRC is celebrating 10 years of providing equine-assisted therapy to riders with disabilities. We are celebrating with a Barn Dance open to the public so the community can meet the volunteers, riders and their families. It will be held on Chakota property so we can do demonstrations of the service provided at Chakota. We will conduct a silent auction to raise money for the general operating fund. Our fundraising events allow us to continue offering the therapeutic riding sessions at no cost to those riders who suffer financial hardships due to their disabilities. All of the planning and implementing is being done by McKendree University students as a community service project.
