Charlottesville Cup
Sporting Event for Foothills Child Advocacy CenterApr 27, 2024 8:30 AM to Apr 28, 2024 3:00 PM
Join us for the inaugural Charlottesville Cup, the first sanctioned pickleball tournament in the area, happening April 27-28, 2024, at Darden Towe Park. Currently, we have 143 registered players from across Virginia, Maryland, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, and Puerto Rico. With two onsite food trucks and Stretchlab, it will be an exciting event.
We are dedicated to providing support to children who have experienced abuse or trauma. Our services include forensic interviews, medical exams, and family advocacy. With a fundraising goal of $30,000, including registration fees, raffle ticket sales, and sponsorships, we aim to bridge recent budget cuts of $230,000 from the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA).
Your donation of a raffle prize will directly support these critical services. Thank you for being so committed to the well-being of children in the City of Charlottesville and the surrounding eight counties: Albemarle, Buckingham, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, Madison, Nelson, and Orange. Last year we served 349 children across the region and collaborated with child advocacy centers from Harrisonburg, Richmond, Fredericksburg, and Staunton.
