Chávez Elementary is one of the largest elementary schools in the Madison School District, with over 600 students and 70 staff members.  Our primary annual fundraiser to support these goals is the Fun Fair and Silent Auction. This event will take place on March 4, 2023 and will include games for children of all ages, food, a variety of activities and entertainment, a prize room, and an online auction beginning February 28, 2023 that transitions to an auction event at the Fun Fair.

The Chávez PTO is a volunteer-run, nonprofit organization with a goal of successful education of our students by supporting the needs of school staff and students. Recent projects run by our PTO include the creation of a school garden and outdoor community space, support for families in need including holiday gifts and winter clothing, gym and recess equipment, and needed supplies for our nearly 30 classrooms including books, art supplies, and furniture.
