Christmas Party for the Children
Carnival/Festival for The Salvation ArmyDec 19, 2019 8:00 AM to Dec 24, 2019 9:00 PM
To whom it may concern,
We at The Salvation Army Carr P. Collins Social Service Center, serve over 6,000 individuals and families each year in one of our five residential programs. We have a Veteran’s Homeless shelter, Domestic Violence Survivor shelter, Women and Children’s Homeless shelter and Men’s Homeless shelter. We also open our doors for emergency serves for those who are living on the streets of Dallas. We are requesting a donation of items or a gift card to purchase activities for the children staying at our shelter.
Here is some information to give you a better picture of what we do here at the Carr P. Collins Center; during their stay, individuals have direct access to a variety of resources, including personal case management, social services, job skills training, homework/school assistance, counseling, mentoring, personal budgeting and parenting skills classes. These people need more than safe shelter as they struggle to heal emotional wounds and repair lives. They long for a place to feel comfortable, accepted and safe - a place like home.
Most individuals achieve residential stability and increase skill levels while they are staying with us. We want to ensure anyone who comes through our doors has their needs met. We also want to be sure people are given access to resources which will help them to become well-rounded individuals and help improve the lives of their families.
Thank you for your consideration in advance. If you should need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me directly.
Sincerely,
Denise Gallimore
